Greg Narez founded A-1 Satellite in 1982 in the era of the 12-foot monster dish with the goal of eliminating those dreaded cable bills. Since then, satellite has evolved from those monster dishes with free programming, to the current pizza size systems. Digital signals and video compression have allowed hundreds of channels and high-speed Internet service to be broadcast over a small satellite dish. In 1994, A-1 was invited by DirecTV and DishNetwork to be one of the first dealers in the area to be trained and certified for the sales, service, and installation of the first mini-dish systems. The first systems sold for $699.00 and $199.00 installation. A-1 provides equipment, installation, and service for residential and commercial head-end applications, Full View/C-Band systems, and commercial installation of the mini-dish systems.
